Masonry is, in itself, a science and art form. The science takes into account such characteristics as tensile and compressive strength, modulus of elasticity, cement to water ratio, bonding agents, and most of all, proper curing. The art relies upon the keen eye of the mason himself and his ability to integrate both man-made and naturally occurring materials into the overall project design.
